1) Direct Messages

Direct messages allow you to get all of your reminders, and @ mentions through the Smartsheet bot. Allowing you to stay in your preferred messaging application and keeping you in the loop and allowing you to take action on work when necessary. Direct messages can currently be sent to Slack, Workplace by Facebook, and Google’s Hangouts Chat (with Google Suite's account).

2) Channel Messages

Notifications can be sent to a group of people, where you are having a focused conversation on a specific topic. Alerts can also be sent out to these channels, allowing teams to stay in their app of choice, and have these communications be discoverable in easier ways. Utilize these channels messaging capabilities with our Slack integration.

3) In-app Messaging

Our integrations with Skype for Business and Google Hangouts allow for in-app messaging. This enables you to easily see if coworkers are online allowing for real-time communication. Chats are automatically added to comments to your sheet, so you can track these conversations in Smartsheet.
