My Internship Journey at 57Network Consultancy

​My name is Amir Syafiq bin Ezrin, and I had the opportunity to work as a Software Solution Intern at 57Network Consultancy, a firm specializing in providing digital solutions and training. My main focus was on building solutions for clients and offering them guidance on how to streamline their workflows. In addition to my core responsibilities, I also assisted with tasks like researching and requirement scoping, giving me a broader exposure to the inner workings of client projects.

During my time at 57Network, we utilized project management tools such as Smartsheet and ClickUp to support our customers. These tools formed the foundation of much of the work I did, and they were instrumental in helping me understand how different businesses manage and optimize their operations.

​My Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Most of my daily tasks revolved around building tailored solutions for clients and conducting requirement scoping to ensure their needs were met. I worked on a particularly demanding project that required extensive attention to detail. It involved using multiple premium apps from Smartsheet to devise a more efficient solution for a client. This project took considerable time to complete due to its complexity, but it provided a valuable learning experience.

The Challenges I Faced
One of the most significant challenges I encountered was adapting to the fast-paced environment. This was my first time working in such a setting, and I had to quickly adjust to the rapid flow of tasks and decision-making. Another challenge was preparing myself to communicate and network during events, which pushed me out of my comfort zone.
However, thanks to the excellent support I received from my team members and supervisor, these hurdles became manageable. They were always there to provide guidance, motivation, and encouragement when I needed it most.

What I Gained from This Internship
This internship has been incredibly rewarding for me. I learned a great deal, particularly about the project management industry, which is something I hadn’t explored before. I enhanced my communication skills, improved my time management, and became more responsible in handling tasks.
Moreover, I gained valuable insights into how real-world work environments function and how to interact with professionals in various industries. The constant feedback and mentorship from my supervisor and team members were instrumental in helping me grow, both personally and professionally.

Looking back, I can confidently say that this internship has been a pivotal experience in shaping my future career. It allowed me to develop both technical and soft skills that will benefit me as I move forward. I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of the 57Network team, and the lessons I’ve learned here will stay with me throughout my career journey.
