Learning Through Experience: My Internship at 57Network

​Internships are often seen as a period to gain experience by completing assigned tasks. However, my experience at 57Network was different. Instead of following a fixed role, I was given the opportunity to explore, ask questions, and learn through actual work situations. The focus was not just on what I was doing, but on how and why the work was done.

Improving with Feedback

During my internship, one of the most valuable parts of my experience was the guidance and feedback I received throughout my work. Every task I completed was reviewed carefully, with clear explanations on what I did well and what needed improvement. Instead of just pointing out mistakes, the feedback explained why changes were needed and how to improve.

This helped me start thinking more before doing my work. I learned to understand the task clearly, plan my approach, and check my work before submitting it. Over time, I became more aware of my common mistakes and worked to avoid repeating them.

The feedback also helped me understand how tasks are handled in a real working environment. It showed me that it’s not just about completing a task, but about doing it correctly, clearly, and in a way that meets expectations. This remind me to be more careful and more responsible for the quality of my work.

Supportive and Positive Team 

Another important part of my internship was the supportive and positive team environment at 57Network. Even when my work did not fully meet expectations, the response was always constructive and focused on improvement. Instead of criticism, I was given clear direction on what needed to be adjusted and how to do it better.

This made it easier to stay motivated and continue progressing without feeling discouraged. The team created an environment where mistakes were treated as part of the learning process. Because of this, I became more more open to feedback and more willing to improve myself. It also encouraged me to stay consistent and focused on delivering better results with each task.

Work From Home Experience

Working remotely during my internship taught me how to manage my time and stay focused without direct supervision. I had to plan my tasks properly, set clear priorities, and ensure that deadlines were met without reminders.

This required a higher level of discipline, especially in avoiding distractions and staying committed to completing my work on time. I also learned the importance of being accountable, as I was fully responsible for both the quality and progress of my tasks.

In addition, working from home strengthened my ability to stay consistent and maintain a routine. It pushed me to be more independent in handling challenges and finding solutions without relying too much on others. This experience helped me build stronger self-management skills, which are important for both remote and office-based work.

Unforgettable Moment: Roundtable Session

One of the most memorable moments during my internship was attending a roundtable session organized by 57Network at Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The session brought together professionals, including COOs, directors, and business founders, where discussions focused on sharing real experiences and insights. It was unexpected that people at that level would take the time to share their experiences so openly.

Developing a Better Approach to Work

One of the key things I learned during my internship was the importance of clarity, confidence, and continuity in how I approach my work. It helped me become more structured and reduced the need for repeated revisions.

• Continuity – staying consistent and improving over time

I am still working on applying this consistently, but it has given me a clearer direction in how I handle my tasks and improve over time.
