Highlights from the Smartsheet User Group Malaysia Event - A Day of Insight and Collaboration -

Welcome back, 57Network friends! We're thrilled to share the key moments from our recent Smartsheet User Group Malaysia event. On 25th September 2024, we gathered for a day of learning, networking, and unforgettable experiences. Let’s revisit the highlights of this amazing day.

The Smartsheet User Group Malaysia event was a 3-hour gathering that brought together around 40 passionate individuals from various industries. Hosted at the AICB Centre of Excellence (ACE) in Kuala Lumpur, the event featured inspiring keynote speeches by Chia Ka & Partners (CKP), updates on the Smartsheet products, and facilitated meaningful connections through strategic networking with individuals in the business community.

​We were blessed to have Jeremy Chia, Managing Partner of Chia Ka & Partners (CKP), share his inspiring customer journey using Smartsheet.

During the event, Jeremy shed light on how CKP recently adopted Smartsheet, a versatile project management tool that has significantly transformed their operations by enabling seamless coordination across departments. This shift has allowed the team to manage internal requests more effectively, streamline staff planning processes, and improve the monitoring of KPIs, resulting in enhanced overall productivity and collaboration.

Since adopting Smartsheet, Jeremy shared how the team has experienced a noticeable improvement in communication and workflow transparency. The tool has empowered them to easily track project deadlines, manage resources efficiently, and coordinate efforts between different departments, such as leadership, finance, and operations. This has led to smoother processes and more informed decision-making across the board.

He also emphasized the critical role that Smartsheet now plays in providing real-time visibility through its intuitive dashboards, allowing the team to stay on top of key tasks, monitor internal requests, and quickly follow up on pending actions. This improved visibility has helped to drive accountability and ensure that all departments are aligned, contributing to CKP's overall operational success.

Following Jeremy’s presentation; Utkarsh Sood, Commercial Solutions Engineer at Smartsheet shared new updates about Smartsheet's latest functionalities and views, aimed at helping customers build tailored solutions and enabling teams to work on their projects more efficiently. Utkarsh also introduced the attendees to the latest AI features released in Smartsheet. These AI tools empower teams to accomplish more with their work and unlock actionable insights simply by asking questions.

Reflecting on the Smartsheet User Group Malaysia event, I feel incredibly thankful for the opportunity to connect with so many like-minded professionals and exchange valuable ideas. This was my second time attending, and each experience has proven to be impactful. Not only did I meet new individuals who share similar interests, but I also found it to be a great opportunity to improve my soft skills and build my confidence in a supportive environment.

​The event was truly eye-opening for me and one practical lesson I gained during the event that I can apply to my daily work using Smartsheet is how reminders and automation help me and my team stay on top of updates and follow-ups, especially when handling customer subscription renewals. Additionally, after hearing from Jeremy and Utkash,
​I realized that I've improved in tracking tasks and collaborating with my team.
